In the fields and forests around Verona, the morning dew smells of delicious, sweet, wild forest strawberries. Centuries ago, these adorable berries captured the hearts of Romeo and Juliet with their intense fragrance and taste. More recently, they also won the hearts of the Bongiorno family.

When the day is still fresh, locals head out in search of these aromatic fruits. The freshly picked fruits - after regular quality control by Vincenzo Bongiorno - go directly to the distillery where they are given the company of alcohol and a touch of sugar and then the mixture is allowed to age for a very long time in dark cool cellars.
